Over the years, Draw to Perform has worked with artists with disabilities, exploring how drawing, movement, performance and different ways of making can expand the possibilities of performative drawing.
In 2026, Draw to Perform dedicated its seventh festival to this area of practice with Draw to Perform Festival 2026: Drawing on Disability. The festival brought together disabled artists, performers and participants for live drawing performances and workshops, creating opportunities to explore drawing through the body, movement, sound, technology and adapted tools.
The festival marked an important step in Draw to Perform’s ongoing commitment to making performative drawing more inclusive and accessible, and to supporting artists with different experiences and ways of working.
